Highbury Announces 2026 Events Programme

The Chamberlain Highbury Trust is delighted to unveil a diverse and engaging programme of events at Highbury for 2026, offering something for everyone throughout the year.

Building on the Trust’s mission to bring Highbury’s heritage and community spaces alive, monthly Open Days will be held on the first Sunday and Monday of every month, welcoming visitors to explore Highbury’s historic rooms, gardens and guided tours. These sessions open Highbury Hall’s doors to the public, with free entry all afternoon on Sundays (1–4 pm) and mornings on Mondays (10 am–1 pm). Visitors are invited to explore the mansion’s historic rooms and grounds at their own place, appreciating the beautiful interiors, architecture and landscape.

Mansion Tours take visitors around the principal rooms of Highbury Hall, bringing to life the history of Joseph Chamberlain and his family, as well as the Hall’s architectural and social significance. Hidden Highbury Tours offer a rare behind-the-scenes look at areas not normally open to the public, including rooms currently in a state of disrepair, alongside insight into the Trust’s restoration plans. Guided tours of the historic Highbury Gardens and parkland provide insights into the Victorian landscape designed by Edward Milner and the restoration work currently underway.

Further highlights for 2026 include:

• A Spring Dog Show, bringing community spirit, fun and friendly competition to the Highbury grounds.

• Participation in Heritage Open Days in September, joining this nation‑wide celebration of history and culture to open Highbury’s doors with special tours and activities.

• Lamp Lit Tours in the winter months, offering atmospheric guided walks of Highbury by lantern light, featuring stories of the mansion and its past.
